Are you using the excuse that you can't understand the bible? There is a reason for it, and the reason is you! And why can't you? Because the carnal mind cannot understand divine truth without the help of God's spirit. Want to do God's will and you will understand, for God will bestow upon you the gift of his holy spirit. Listen to his word, and seek to follow his instructions and you will be able to see.
"Give me understanding, and I shall keep thy law; yea, I shall observe it with my whole heart."
"Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths."
"I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me".
"Hear, ye deaf (want to hear the truth); and look, ye blind (want to see the truth), that ye may see (and the spirit of God will be present to help)."
"And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them."
"If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself. He that speaketh of himself seeketh his own glory: but he that seeketh his glory that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him."
"But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned."
(1 Corinthians 2:10-14)
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.
(2 Timothy 3:16-17)
"If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways."
Thought the Lord would like all to come to salvation, he is only looking for those that want to please the Father, which involves obeying.
