What Did Christ Look Like?

A study of your Bible will show that Christ did not look anything like in the movies, or pictures present him to be. The Bible describes him in this way: "... he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him." ( Is 53:2) Christ was not handsome.

Most adult males of Israel wore full beards in compliance with the law regarding beards in Leviticus 19:27 "Ye shall not round the corners of your heads, neither shalt thou mar the corners of thy beard" and 21:5, "They shall not make baldness upon their head, neither shall they shave off the corner of their beard, ..." there is no doubt that Christ and the apostles wore full beards in compliance with this law.
Because Christ looked like every other Jew, Judas had to point him out with a kiss to the chief priests and the scribes and the elders when they came to arrest him, Mark 14.

Christ was a Jewish carpenter working outdoors in all kind of weather carrying large logs and wood. This means he would have been tanned, weathered and muscular in appearance, not weak, pampered and feminin looking as he is always pictured.

He also would not have worn his hair long, 1Co 11:14 " Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?".

So to summarize, Christ would have been muscular, yet an average looking man with a full beard.

Pictures and statues of Christ are completely false and should be discarded, worship in truth.
