WHY CHRIST?

Christ became the only begotten son of God, a member of the God family, who choose to be born of human flesh in order to reconcile man with God. He sacrificed his own human flesh in order to wash our sins away from before God, an ultimate sin offering in our stead. He was then reborn back again into god spirit.

 There were several goals behind Christ living in human form, lets take a look at the objectives behind his living in human form;

Objectives

• AN UNDERSTANDING MEDIATOR:  
  By living through the same temptations as the rest of mankind, Christ could better understand our human weaknesses and stand as a mediator on our behalf.
  (ISA 53:5-12)... and with his stripes we are healed .... made his soul an offering for sin.... and made intercession for the transgressors.
  (JOHN 1:1) In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God, and the word was God.
  (JOHN 1:14) And the word became flesh, and dwelt among us (and we beheld his glory being the only procreated from the father) full of Gods grace and truth.
  (1 TIM 2:5) There is one God, and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus.
  (1 JOHN 2:1) My brethren, I write this to you, that you will not sin. We now have an advocate with the father, which is Jesus Christ.
  (HEB 12:24) Jesus the mediator of the new covenant.
  (EPH 2:18-19) And through him we have access to the spirit of the father. Now we are no longer strangers and foreigners, but we are family and of the household of God.
  God refuses to have personal contact with sin, so he sent his son to make a personal intervention on our behalf.
  
• QUALIFY:  
  In order to qualify as the future ruler, to replace Satan who is the present ruler of this world, he had to prove it possible to over comesin.
  (JOHN 6:38) For I came from heaven, not to do my own will, but the will of the one that sent me.
  
• SIN OFFERING:  
  Christ offered his own sinless life for a final sin offering on our behalf, doing away with the need for the sin sacrifices, and the curse (the second death) of sin.
  (MARK 10:45) For the son of man came not to be ministered to, but to minister, and to give his life for a ransom for many.
  (I COR 15:3) For I have given to you first, all that I have received, how Christ has died for our sins fulfilling the scriptures.
  (REV 1:5-8) And from Jesus Christ, who is our faithful witness, and the first to be reborn of the dead, and the prince of the king of the earth. He that loved us, and washed us from our sins through his own blood. And has made us kings and priests for God and his father. For him will be glory and rule for ever and ever, Amen. Behold, he will return through the clouds and every eye will see him, they that pierced him and all the people of the earth will howl because of him, even so let it be, amen.
  
• CONFIRM:  
  Christ came and confirmed God's laws and commandments, not to change them. He also confirmed, or informed us of a new covenant to replace the old.
  (JOHN 12:47-50) And if any man hears my words and does not believe them, I will not judge him, because I did not come to judge the world, but to save the world. And any that reject me, and do not accept my words, has only one to judge him, for by the words that I have spoken, the same will judge him on the last day. For I have not spoken that from myself, but from the father which has sent me, he gave me a commandment as to what I should say, and what I should speak. And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatever I speak of is by instruction from the father.
  
• RESCUE:  
  Christ set out to save those people who had known, but had become lost from God.
  (LUKE 4:43) And he said to them, I must preach the gospel of the kingdom of God to other cities, for this reason have I been sent.
  
• BUILD:  
  Christ built a new foundation for the church, one free from all the traditions and burdens placed upon it by men.
  (COL 1:18) And he is the head of the church.

Christ preached in an effort to save those Jews that had become frustrated and confused by all the false doctrines and traditions imposed upon them by the different religious sects that had sprang up after the captivity and dispersion of Israel.

When Christ returns, he will take retribution on those that refused to obey the gospel. What gospel? There was no new testament at that time, so the gospel had to be the old testament.

Christ died to remove the penalty of sin from our lives by becoming the ultimate sin offering, through his own blood, on our behalf.

 If we accept that Christ was the son of God in the flesh, then we must accept his instructions, his commands, his warnings, and his promises.

(2 THES 1:7-9) And to you that are troubled take rest with us, for Jesus will return from heaven with his army of angels, with fire taking retribution on them that refuse God, and obey not the gospel through Jesus Christ. And they will be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of God, and from the glory of his power.
