Abortion?
Abortion is one of the most significant moral issues of our day with emotions running extremely high. As to what a Christians perspective should be on this subject can be found in God's word.
What does God's word say about abortion?
Ge 9:6-7 Whosoever sheds a man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God he made man. And you, be you fruitful, and multiply; bring forth abundantly in the earth, and multiply therein.
The command is to multiply, have lots of children, to not want children goes against what God wants.
Ex 20:13 & Deu 5:17 You will not murder.
Ex 21:22-23 If men strive, and hurt a woman with child, so that her fruit depart from her, and yet no mischief (not intentional) follow: he shall be surely punished, according as the woman's husband will lay upon him; and he shall pay as the judges determine. And if any mischief follow (deliberate hurting of the unborn child), then thou shalt give life for life,
Deu 27:25 Cursed be he that takes reward to slay an innocent person.
Ps 139:13-16 For you have possessed my reins: you have covered me in my mother's womb. ... My substance was not hid from you, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Your eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in your (the Lords) book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.
Jer 1:5 Before I (the Lord) formed you in the belly, I knew you; and before you came forth out of the womb I sanctified you, ...
Ro 14:11-12 For it is written, As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God. So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.
Reading the above, it seems clear that;
Act 5:29 ... We ought to obey God rather than men.
